Inspiring, magical, and deeply moving—award-winning author Christine Nolfi sweeps you into an unforgettable journey in Heavenscribe Part 3.

This is Part 3 of the Heavenscribe serial mystery, a spiritual tale that unfolds over multiple books. From Heavenscribe Part One

Zobie Marsh hides the fearsome talent of prophecy. Young, poor and grieving the loss of her beloved Black Gram, she leaves home suddenly to avoid the advances of her mother’s latest boyfriend. Her decision to travel to South Carolina sets in motion Heavenscribe, a spiritual transformation devised by angels to aid a dying world.

Bel Petersen seems to have it all ample means, a loving marriage and a rewarding family life. But she’s suffered through a year of unexpected deaths, and near-constant nightmares that portend the downfall of civilization. Now she’s visiting Health Presbyterian daily as Milly battles a relentless bone cancer sure to end their decades-long friendship in a matter of weeks.

One evening as Bel unlocks her car in the hospital’s parking lot, four ambulances stream toward the Emergency entrance. There’s been a horrific traffic accident. She’s shocked to discover one of the victims didn’t make it into an ambulance—and he’s bleeding out in a high school student’s car. Bel sends the student running to the hospital for help, and tends to the grievously injured man.

His dying words will lead her to Zobie, and reveal the spiritual awakening they must undertake together. If they fail, The Dimming will consume every human soul on the planet.

Q& A with the Author

What was the inspiration behind Heavenscribe?

Although most adults won’t readily discuss angels, telepathy or metaphysical subjects, many of us harbor private stories that don’t quite line up with everyday reality. An intuition or a dream that proves astonishingly accurate. Or a gut feeling that urges you to go left instead of right on the street, ensuring you bump into a friend you haven’t seen in years. Heavenscribe explores the mystical life underpinning the practical world, an alternate world that enriches our lives with a sense of wonder.

Why are you releasing Heavenscribe in sections?

The story touches on politics, religion, family life, metaphysical subjects, and the overarching spiritual journey of civilization as a whole—too much material for one book! I wanted to give readers a story brimming with inspiration and miracles, but in a grounded, practical setting. This is one reason why the natural world plays a key role—there’s nothing more wondrous than the pretty blue planet we inhabit. Trying to compress the rich plot into 400 pages would’ve meant leaving out many of the more inspirational elements.

In Heavenscribe, Part Two, Bel learned of her own supernatural gifts. Will she become as powerful as Zobie?

Unlike Zobie, who has known of her psychic gifts since childhood, Bel is ill prepared to accept her surprising talents. She’s a proud homemaker with a rich family life, and she struggles to understand why an ordinary woman would come into possession of such powers. Of course, Bel is anything but ordinary. Her goodness provides the key to unlocking Heavenscribe, as does a memory from long ago that shaped her notions of religion and spirituality.

What can readers expect in Heavenscribe, Part Four?

Readers will meet the third Primary in a surprising way as world events draw closer to the women’s lives.

Readers, you’ll best enjoy Heavenscribe by reading the series in order. This is a serialized story spanning hundreds of pages.

Heavenscribe Part Three Heavenscribe Series Book 3 edition by Christine Nolfi Literature Fiction eBooks

The excitement notches up in Heavenscribe Part 3. Not only does Christine Nolfi continue the story of Zobie and Bel, and the people around them, she expertly crafts the way that emotions and fears affect them.

Amidst the main stories are several little gems, such as this line about a gardener with a sick nephew: “Manny stood gripping his hat and irrational hope.” Perfection!

And there’s a woman who nibbles toffee 24/7 but I won’t quote that part as it’s like a ruby, snug in the middle of other precious gems setting a scene, making me feel like I am right there.

Nolfi has used terms I’ve not known before this, but I’ve never minded looking things up: The etymology of “blue language” was fun to research, and Tabula rasa was something I’d never heard of, looked up, and have promptly forgotten (I’ll look it up again in a minute).

This breathtaking volume kept me turning pages, my eyes widening several times, as the threads of the spiritual, ecological, political, personal and global threats and promises Nolfi is bringing to life caught me in several ways.

I do believe this series will be just as fun to read several more times, it’s so rich.

Heavenscribe Part Three Heavenscribe Series Book 3 edition by Christine Nolfi Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

I love stories about angels and this is one of the best yet! They are so magical and intriguing. Christine Nolfi is so creative with her characters. They are lively and work so well together. This is a very well written book that is both spiritual and suspenseful. This book is for everyone who would love a spiritual and magical journey. Each book in the series gets better and better. It is so suspense filled that it has me wanting book four in the series. Read the book today and will not be sorry you did.
The only reason I gave this book only 4 stars is the abrupt ending. If I have to wait long for 4, it's going to make me cranky. That's how good these book are!
You are bound with each character, they are so real. The story is written very well and you don't want to leave it. I have been ill and have read all 3 in a couple of days. They could be longer! Only a good author can write so well the the world you live in disappears and you are in the world of the book.
I am disappointed that this is the third book in this series and it stops abruptly and you are left hanging. Even though I like the story, I probably will not buy book 4. I think she should conclude the story and then continue as a add on. I get provoked that we get left hanging. I would much prefer a book that has some closure. If I find a book enjoyable, I will buy other books by the same author. I think Ms Nolti has lost my business.
Heavenscribe is such a magical series! In part three, we meet the Earth Mother but the search continues for the third primary. I have always been drawn to stories with angels so I'm loving this book.

We got to know Bel and Zobie and their special talents even more. I love the metaphysical, spiritual aspect of the story. The author writes with such feeling that draws you into the lives of the characters.

This is a suspense filled story that I can't wait to read part four. I highly recommend this series to those looking for a fascinating read!
I just finished Heavenscribe Part III. Amazing prose. A pleasure to read and awesome characters who demand to be cared about. "The minutes (like Nolfi's pages) hurry away from us." In part III, things really start heating up. The Dimming, the Prime and Dahlia come to the forefront as very formidable antagonists and Zobie and Bel form a stronger bond as primes.

Something I also really enjoy about Nolfi's writing is the new words I learn. Admittedly, I have to google a lot of them, but the good news is, she doesn't abuse the layman. Woven into the sentence is the implied meaning, which is a sign of a master author. Audacious with care. Christine Nolfi is teaching her readers and they don't even know it.
Heavenscribe has been an intriguing ride through the cosmos, and, while I don't agree theologically, this author has woven a beautiful story with remarkable talent. I have yet to read a book by this author that I don't like, and these three parts of Heavenscribe are no exception! Zobie Marsh is a very mature 17 year old who has risen above the ranks of her mother's drunken lifestyle with guidance from her grandmother. She is clairvoyant. With three weeks left in high school with a 4.2 GPA, she declines graduation on a whim to get out of where she is, driving to Charleston and meeting up with Bel who takes Zobie under her wing. Bel, too, has unnatural power she was unaware of until Zobie appears. Together, they must somehow find the third person that will until a power to save the darkness of this Earth. I can't wait to find out what happens next! Hurry Christine Nolfi! And thank you for sharing your talent of writing!
Part three in this series is possibly the best yet. There are plot shifts and excellently dense characterizations. Suspense-filled, and foreshadowed to be even more so, this series is compelling and well-written. Special kudos to the author for the male characterizations in this book. Whether husband, brother, friend, or son, the men in this book are wonderfully personified with depth, skill, and obvious attention to them as major players. This is not only a chick book; women will love it, but men play a strong role, and I suspect that will increase. Nolfi is highly skilled and creative. I love this series and highly recommend.
